The C-7X19 Opening Cap is a handrail fitting — it absorbs a change in direction or pitch so the rail line stays continuous.
Specifications
- Fits standard 6010, 6210, 6110, 6310, 6410 handrail profiles
- Wraps over the newel post top at a rail opening or pass-through
- Sold as individual fitting — handrail and newel post not included
- Available in multiple species and series
- Used at: landing newel posts where rail continues on both sides of the post
- Available Species: Beech, Hard Maple, Poplar, Red Oak, White Oak
- Available in volume quantities for contractor and trade orders
Installation
- Dry-fit before glue-up — fittings are cut to final angle on site
- Join with a rail bolt and glue, then plug and sand as one piece
- Order in the same species and series as the rail it mates to
Verify rail height and infill spacing against your local code before you cut.
